Academic Supports Available at the Student Resource Centre

The Student Resource Centre is located in the Old SUB, lower floor. The Centre offers both personal and academic counselling. The following listed services are also provided by the Student Resource Centre. The MASH unit is located in Huggins, visit their website for room numbers. The Writing Centre is located in the Library, near the information desk. The Tutoring Service is accessed through a virtual service.

Disability Access Services

Disability Access Services are offered to students who have a documented disability and want support.  This is coordinated by the Counsellor/Academic Support, Jill Davies.  After meeting with Jill and introducing yourself to your instructors you are in a position to access exam accomodations, sounselling, advising, and help finding tutors, readers, scribes of assistive technology software. MASH (Mathematics & Statistics Help)

MASH (Mathematics and Statistics Help), Huggins, Room 123

Provides students with help in the mathematics or statistics content of a variety of courses in Math, Physics, Chemistry, Business and Economics. We have a drop-in centre and a free one-to-one peer tutoring service. Tutoring Services

The Tutoring Service connects students with tutors who have a strong background in the areas where they need assistance. You are required to pay tutors $15 an hour. Tutors are not available during exams. To find or become a tutor contact: tutoring@acadiau.ca

Peer tutoring is also available free through the MASH Unit and the Writing Centre.
